First-time Setup

First-time Setup

This checklist walks tenant administrators through the essential steps to configure a new Creative Job Hub tenant for production use.

Quick checklist (high level)

  1. Create tenant / organization — Complete any account/tenant creation steps required by your deployment.
  2. Configure Mapbox (recommended per-tenant) — Add your Mapbox public token in Settings → Integrations → Mapbox Configuration. A per-tenant token isolates billing and prevents shared rate limits. If a token is not provided, the app will fall back to a shared demo token with limited usage for testing only. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
  3. Enable integrations — Configure push notifications, analytics, and any other tenant integrations available in the Integrations screen.
  4. Add initial data — Import or create sample clients, technicians, and jobs so you can verify functionality.
  5. Assign roles — Invite team members and assign appropriate roles (admins, dispatchers, technicians).
  6. Configure working hours & region — Set tenant defaults that affect scheduling and maps (timezone, working hours, address formatting).
  7. Test PWA and mobile — Verify the Progressive Web App installs properly (desktop & mobile). Test native builds if you plan to distribute mobile apps. The README includes Capacitor steps for local mobile builds (npx cap add ios|android, npm run build, npx cap sync). :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}

Map & location verification

  • Mapbox token: Configure a per-tenant Mapbox public token to avoid demo token limits and to isolate Mapbox billing. See Settings → Integrations → Mapbox Configuration. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}
  • Demo token note: The demo token is for testing only and has shared rate limits — not suitable for production. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}

Offline & sync verification

  • Verify offline behavior by creating a few items (job updates, photos) while the device is offline, then reconnect and verify they sync automatically. The system queues photo uploads, job updates, payment records, and client notes for automatic sync. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}

Final verification

  • Create a test job, assign a technician, and confirm the job appears in lists, on the Jobs Map (/maps/jobs), and that the technician location updates when clocked in. See Jobs Map usage for details on accessing and using the map. :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}
