Job Management

This article explains the main job workflows in Creative Job Hub, including creating jobs, updating status, attaching photos, and dispatching technicians.

Job lifecycle & statuses

  • Typical statuses: New → Scheduled → In Progress → Completed (plus Overdue/Cancelled as needed). Use status filters to focus lists and maps on specific job states.
  • Changing status: Update job status from the job detail screen or quick-actions in lists and drawers. Status changes may trigger notifications depending on tenant configuration.

Creating and editing jobs

  • Create jobs from the Jobs UI or the admin/dispatch screen. Provide a title, customer, planned date/time, location (address or lat/long), and estimated duration.
  • Include job details such as tasks, parts, estimates, and custom fields as needed.

Assignment & dispatch

  • Assign technicians when scheduling jobs. Dispatchers can reassign as required and use the Jobs Map or calendar to visualize assignments and technician availability.
  • For routing and quick decisions, use the Jobs Map and the job details drawer to navigate, call, or message the customer without leaving the map. :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8}

Attachments, notes, and photos

  • Use the camera integration to capture photos on-site; photos are attached to job records and queued for upload while offline if necessary. :contentReference[oaicite:9]{index=9}
  • Add notes and tags to jobs to capture status details, parts used, or follow-up actions.

Best practices

  • Ensure job addresses are complete and geocodable to ensure correct map placement.
  • Use short, consistent status and reason codes to simplify reporting and automation.
  • For recurring jobs, create a template or use scheduling features to save setup time.

See Scheduling & Calendar for handling bulk assignment and conflict resolution.
